Frank Van Lerven advises ISGAM Private Wealth’s U.S. clients on financial planning and investment management. His path into wealth advising is an unusual one: he trained as a psychologist in the Netherlands and was drawn into the field over time through American friends, colleagues and clients. To serve those clients at a full professional standard, he studied at the College of Financial Planning in Denver, completing the CFP Professional Education Program in 2004 and earning the CFP® designation the following year.

Frank’s background in psychology continues to shape how he works with clients. He believes the financial side of a client’s life cannot be cleanly separated from the personal side: how they think about money, what they want from retirement and what makes a life feel meaningful. He has written a series of articles exploring these themes, including “Investors and Their Choices,” “Income and Further Factors Contributing to Happiness” and “Retirement and Longevity.”

Frank holds the CFP® designation and a doctorate degree in psychology from the Netherlands. He is based in [location].
